Definition¶
The Leave Definition determines how leave entitlement will be generated. This is controlled by a set of parameters, which are entered using a Wizard. There is provision for multiple sets of parameters that are linked to the employees leave year. So, for example, for sick leave you may have a different set of parameters for the first and second year or for Long Service leave you may have a set that applies for the first ten years, another set that applies for the next five years and a further set that applies for next five years. In fact you may have as many sets as you wish.
Depending on the Leave Method used in the Leave Type for this Leave Definition there will be six or seven steps or screens in the Wizard. These are Screen 1 General Leave Details, Screen 1 General Leave Details #2, Screen 3 Leave Life Detail, Screen 4 Leave Loading Details, Screen 5 Certified Leave Details, Screen 6 Leave Payment On Termination, Screen 7 Counter or Deferred Leave.
