Keystrokes and Icons

The functions available with single of combinations of keystrokes may be listed by clicking the Yellow Question Mark Icon question at the top of the screen or by pressing Shift-F11.

In this help file these are grouped under the following Headings: Next Employee, Entering a Pay, Display Functions, Other Processing Functions, Miscellaneous.

Next Employee

save F12
Saves the screen as the Current Pay and moves to the next employee. There is also a Button that does this.
first Home & Control-Home
Moves to the First employee without saving any changes made in this session.
prev F4, Page Up & Control-Page Up
Moves to the Previous employee without saving any changes made in this session.
next F5, Page Down & Control-Page Down
Moves to the Next employee without saving any changes made in this session.
last End & Control-End
Moves to the Last employee without saving any changes made in this session.
globe F8
Browse the employee file. Accepting an employee from this browse will exit the screen for the current employee without saving any changes.

Entering a Pay

new F2
Add a new Pay Item for this employee.
delete F3
Delete the current Pay Item.

Browse the employee file. Accepting an employee from this browse will exit the screen for the current employee without saving any changes.
save F12
Saves the screen as the Current Pay and moves to the next employee.
Shift-F2
Loads the Current Pay for this employee.
Shift-F3
Loads the Third Party Pay for this employee.
Shift-F4
Loads the Roster Pay for this employee.
Shift-F5
Loads the Standard Pay for this employee.
Shift-F6
Loads the Previous Pay for this employee.

Loads the Classification Pay for this employee.

Display Functions

Control-F2
Displays the details of a Fixed Split as applied to the current Pay Item. The cursor must be on an Item with a Fixed Split.
Control-F3
Displays the Pay Items that make up the current Group Item. The cursor must be on a Group Item.
Control-F6
Shows Super. Displays the details of any employer superannuation that will result from the
current pay as it is presently entered.
Control-F7
Shows details of the Leave that is currently available.

Other Processing Functions

F6
Initiate the Tax Details display & edit Function.
F7
Initiate the Leave Usage function. See Leave Usage.
F11
Initiates the Terminate Employee function. See Terminate.
Control-F8
Pay Slip messages. This allows you to edit the messages that will appear on the payslips. There are two such messages. A Global Message, which will appear on all pay slips (even where an Employee Message is set) and an Employee Message that may be set for individual employees.
Control-F11
This allows you to reset the selection criteria set at the start of the pay process.
Control-F12
Saves the pay screen as the Standard Pay for the current employee.

Miscellaneous.

A range of functions may be invoked using keystrokes or combinations of keystrokes.

Help - displays help information.
F9
Browse the current field.
F10
Please note that F10 (go to the Drop Down Menu) is disabled while you are in the PayScreen.
Control-F9
Maintain the current field. Note that this is not operative for all fields.
