Base Item:

Select the Pay Item which will generate the Normal Base Rate for this Classification. This normally applies to Full time Part Time and Contract employees. It may also apply to Casual employees.

Casual Base Item:

Here you may set an alternative base rate Pay Item for casual employees. This is appropriate where the base rate for casual employees is a fixed percentage above the Normal Base Rate and all loading Rates are derived from that Base Rate. The Item entered here must be a Loading Item with the Base Rate flag set to Yes.

Casual Loading Rate:

Where this is set and the Pay Item superannuation flag is set to Hours and the employee is casual and the Casual Base Pay Item is not set, then this rate is used to calculate the employee’s base rate for the super qualifying $. (default is the base rate - whether casual or normal).
