Super Adjustment

Maintenance ‣ Employee ‣ Super Adjustment

This screen displays the Superannuation Values as calculated by the Program and makes provision for you to add information manually. The manual entry function allows you to set up the employees starting position for the Super Calculations that will be made by the program, “Initial Settings”, and make manual adjustments to the super balances “Total Adjustments”.

Manual entries are recorded by Cost Centre and consequently multiple entries may be made.

To adjust an existing manual record, Double Left Click on the record and adjust as required.

To add a new manual record Double Left Click on the blank line on the screen, select the required Cost Centre from the browse list displayed and make the required entries.

These fields allow you to record adjustments for amounts that were not calculated by the program.

Initial Settings Note that these fields are used by the program to interpret the SGC and Award rules. As such they may be edited only before the first update has been done.

Unqualified SGC:

This is the value of the super liability which has accrued for the current month to date and which has not been paid. No entry is required here if the use of the program is started at the beginning of a new month.

Qualifying Dollars:

This is the value of the qualifying dollars that the employee has earned month to date. These will be added to any further Qualifying Dollars, which the employee earns before the end of the month, to determine if an SGC liability will occur. No entry is required here if the use of the program is started at the beginning of a new month.

Award Qualified:

This flag is applicable only where there is an absolute earnings threshold which an employee must reach before employer super liability occurs.

Where such a threshold has been passed set the flag to Yes. Otherwise set it to No.

Unqualified Award:

This field is required only where there is an absolute earnings threshold which an employee must reach before employer super liability occurs and the Award Qualified field is set to No. In this case enter here the Qualifying Earnings for the employee. These will be added to Qualifying Earnings calculated and paid by the program to determine the point at which employer liability will occur.
