Type¶
You may set up as many Leave Types as you require. Typical examples of Leave Types would be:
Annual Leave , Sick Leave, Long Service Leave, ADO/RDO. Bereavement Leave.

Set here the Pay Item that will be used to pay termination pay for long service leave accrued before August 1977. |

Set here the Pay Item that will be used to pay termination pay for leave, which will be taxed at the average marginal rate. |

| Loading Term. Taxed: | |
Set here the Pay Item that will be used to pay termination pay for leave loading, which will not be taxed. |

| Show On Payslip: | |
Set this flag to Yes where it is desired to include the leave balance for this leave Type on the Payslip. |

| Report Column (Number): | |
This used to determine the column in the Leave Summary Report in which this leave will be displayed. There are ten valid columns (numbered 1 to 10) in the report. Note Where the entry is set to “0” (zero) the leave type will not appear on the report. |

| Split Current and Previous Years Leave On Termination: | |
Set this parameter to Yes where current year Leave Accruals and Leave accruals for previous years are treated differently. [No leave loading on Current Year Accrual for example]. |

| Export Costed Percentage: | |
This determines the percentage of the potential cost of the leave that will be taken into account in your general ledger. Where this is to occur it is normally set to 100% but may well be 75% for sick leave. |

| Use Year Factors: | |
Year Factors may be applied to the leave balance for each year in the Costed Leave Accounting Report. Set this flag to Yes where you wish to set and apply Year Factors in this report. This is provided to assist in the calculation of Leave Liability in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards. See |

| Year Factors: | These may be set only where the Use Year Factors flag has been set to Yes. Set the percentage values that you wish to be applied for each Employee Leave Year in the Costed Leave Accounting Report. Note Leave Years are counted from the date the employee is employed so their first year of employment is Year 1. |
