Security Group¶
Security groups allow the access levels for various operators to be controlled.
To create a Security Group, Press F2 or click the Create New Icon.
Enter the Code and Description for this Security Group.
To set the Access Levels for this Security Group press F5.
This puts you in the Security Set mode.
Note that only operators set as Super Users may set and edit Security Group Access Levels.
Access is set at the Menu Selection Level and you may control four aspects:
- Access – The operator may access the menu but not change anything.
- Update - The operator may access the menu selection and change an existing record.
- Add - The operator may access the menu selection and add a new record.
- Delete - The operator may access the menu selection and delete an existing record.
Click the Menu Item for which security is to be set and set the four flags as required. Repeat for each of the Menu Items that will be controlled by this Security Group.
Note
The operator will have full access to any Menu Item for which the Access Level is not set.
Press F5 again when you have finished to save the changes and return to the normal mode.
